The learner can ask and give information in a job interview.


Vacancies (online or from newspapers).


  • Create duos.
  • Ask each duo to choose a vacancy.
  • Let them anticipate the questions of both the interviewer and the
  • Discuss these questions in class: what question is a do, what a don’t?
  • Add other possible questions.
  • Let each duo play a job interview according to the vacancy they have chosen, one learner being the employer, the other one the applicant.

Tips for the instructor

  • Prior to this exercise, let the learners make their CV.
    (See exercise: ‘Create a CV’)
  • At a later stage, ask an outsider to play the role of interviewer.
