- Introduce the expressions one by one. Let the learners guess their meaning.
- Ask if they have an equivalent in their mother tongue.
- Discuss if there are any cultural differences when it comes to money.
- Discuss tips for saving money, e.g.
- Put on a sweater when it is cold.
- Take a quick shower.
- Buy cleaning vinegar instead of several cleaning
- products, it is
- cheap and usable for almost anything.
- Go to the market by the end of the day. Prices go down.
- Buy generic.
- Don’t go shopping hungry.
- Pay your bills on time, to avoid penalties.
- Put on a sweater when it is cold.
