Throw the dice

Objectives

The learner can tell a story in a (chrono)logical way.

Materials

Set of story dice

Instructions

Variant 1

• Sit in a circle.
• Give every learner a die.
• Ask a learner to throw the die and name the image on the die.
• Ask the learner to start the story by inventing a sentence including the image.
• Ask a second learner to throw a die, name the image and continue the story.
• And so on.
• Continue until every learner has had a turn. If the story is not finished yet, go for another round.

 

Variant 2

• Ask a learner how many dice s/he wants.
• Let the learner throw and make a story with all the images.
• Continue until every learner has had a turn.

 

Variant 3

• Throw all dice.
• Ask who wants to share a story inspired by one or more of the images.
• Continue until every learner has had a turn.
